Tia Mowry Encourages Women to Take Charge of Their Health With Anser

Actress Tia Mowry-Hardrict became a household name when she starred alongside her twin sister Tamera in the hit 90’s TV sitcom, Sister, Sister. Today, she has a full plate as a wife, mom of two, actress on the Netflix original show Family Reunion, Youtuber on her channel Tia Mowry's Quick Fix and best-selling author.

Her latest venture is the launch of Anser, a line of women’s multivitamins, beauty supplements, prenatal care and now men’s and kids’ multivitamins. While Anser launched in 2020, the story behind the brand began in the early 2000s as Mowry struggled with life-altering health issues. Today, she is healthier than she’s ever been and passionate about making everyday wellness easy and accessible to everyone.

In her mid-20s, Mowry was diagnosed with endometriosis, a chronic condition that causes endometrial tissue growth on the ovaries, bowel and tissue lining of the pelvis. The illness, which affects more than 11 percent of American women between the ages of 15 and 44, can cause painful periods, chronic lower back pain, excessive and irregular bleeding, painful bowel movements, stomach problems and infertility.

As Mowry navigated her diagnosis and the health realities that came with it, she had two surgeries. Her doctor put her on pain medication to help with the excruciating pain. At one point, Mowry was even on birth control.

“My doctor was like, ‘We have tried so many different things here,'” Mowry recalled.  “She told me I’m going to have to change my lifestyle if I want to have children someday.”

Mowry quickly learned that changing your lifestyle and eating habits could change your overall health. She began to make some major life changes, taking care of herself and learning more about wellness. She changed her diet and started eating healthier foods. After doing some research about the connection between mental health and physical health, she also started meditating.

Soon, she saw a huge change in her health. Her eczema disappeared. She had more energy. Her mood changed. The biggest change, however, was that she was able to have her son Cree.

Motivated by her own health journey, Mowry set out to make a difference. The first thing she did was write her book, Whole New You: How Real Food Transforms Your Life for a Healthier, More Gorgeous You: A Cookbook. The book chronicles Mowry’s health journey and includes a 10-day healthy meal plan, more than 100 recipes, lighter alternatives to your favorite comfort foods and recipes for kids.

“I didn’t want to keep this to myself,” she said. “I wanted to share this with the world, and I wanted to inspire people to take charge of their health.”

Next, in partnership with BioSchwartz, Mowry launched Anser. The supplement line is made from clean ingredients, essential vitamins and high-quality nutrients without GMOs, gluten or fillers. It currently offers a Women’s Multivitamin, Beauty Formula, Prenatal Formula, Men’s Multivitamin and Kid’s Multivitamin Gummy.

“Anser is not just about supplementing your lifestyle with vitamins,” she said. “It’s about making us all happy and changing your lifestyle through diet, exercise, meditation and mental wellness.”

The tagline for Anser is, “You are the answer,” and the social media hashtag is, “Self-care is not selfish.” Mowry explains the reason behind this is “because we as women are the only ones who can do this for ourselves.”
